Finance Manager role (Temp to Permanent opportunity) is offered for a retail company in the Greater Toronto Area .

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Manager to join on a contract basis, with the potential for the position becoming a full time position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and analytics, 5+ years of relevant experience, and carrying a CPA designation or at the final stages of getting one. Responsibilities:

• Assist with schedule building , interim audit procedures and lead the creation of schedules for reporting purposes
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards and financial policies
• Help with continuously improving financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and stakeholders
• Make recommendations for enhancing divisional efficiency and quality of service by identifying client needs, emerging trends, and opportunities
• Identifying service gaps and help bridge delivery gaps and recommend new services
• Ensure effective teamwork and timely communication of all issues noted.

Qualifications:

Mandatory:

• Professional degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Global Certification works too)
• 5+ years of experience in core accounting / financial analysis and reporting
• CPA designation or in the final stages
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity preferred with IFRS guidelines and regulatory accounting standards
• Familiar with working with multiple entities across Europe and Asia

Preferred:

• Experience with financial software and Netsuite ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills, including using complex formulas in excel
• Power BI and ability to extract queries using SQL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00-$53.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
