Job Description: The Automotive Dealership Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dealership. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle a variety of responsibilities ranging from maintaining cleanliness to managing social media and sales activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media and Marketing:
- Take high-quality pictures of cars for sale, ensuring to capture all features and new additions.
- Regularly upload and update car listings on Facebook Marketplace and Sonia Auto Market’s website using engaging and accurate descriptions.
- Share Marketplace posts on relevant Facebook group pages and update them every 7 days, deleting old posts to keep content fresh.
- Assist in creating and sharing advertisements for the mechanic shop, highlighting weekly deals and promotions.
- Car Preparation and Maintenance:
- Perform regular car washes using pressure washers, especially after rain or dust.
- Ensure cars are ready for sale with detailed interior and exterior cleaning, engine light checks, tire shining, and dashboard cleaning.
- Check for and install any necessary cosmetic parts for cars (e.g., steering covers, tire hub caps, seat covers).
- Office and Dealership Cleanliness:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office, including vacuuming and organizing paperwork.
- Ensure the washroom is clean and well-stocked at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness in the mechanic shop, including regular sweeping and organizing tools.
- Sales and Administrative Tasks:
- Keep track of dealership plates, ensuring proper organization and monitoring expiry dates.
- Ensure that no dealership cars are driven without valid plates.
- Assist in tracking sales targets and updating the Google Sheet regularly to reflect progress.
- Act as a salesperson, negotiating prices with customers and providing exceptional customer service.
- Evaluate trade-ins and consult with management on trade-in values before acceptance.
- Write bills of sale and ensure proper documentation for all car sales.
- Customer Service and Coordination:
- Schedule appointments for mechanic work and coordinate with car orders and part arrivals.
- Provide customers with repair estimates and order parts as needed.
- Follow up with customers based on their car preferences (e.g., sedan, Honda) to encourage repeat business.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in automotive or marketing fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in an automotive environment or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Basic knowledge of car maintenance and detailing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing techniques.
- Proficient in using Google Sheets and QuickBooks for record-keeping and invoicing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
