Specific responsibilities may include:

• Taking customer orders and operating the POS system

• Assembling food orders and serving customers

• Alerting kitchen staff to shortages or special orders

• Operating drink-dispensing machines and preparing beverages

• Receiving payments and providing accurate change

• Maintaining clean and sanitary dining and work areas

• Operating cooking equipment, such as grills and deep fryers

• Ensuring food meets quality and quantity standards

• Preparing and cooking food based on customer orders
