Job Description

Oaklands OSC provides quality childcare and youth programs at Oaklands Community Centre, Hamilton Park and Little Acorns Daycare. This position is ideal for those who have a Class 4 Drivers’ License and looking for part-time work to supplement their income.

Hours of Work: This is a permanent part-time position. Hours worked can be up to a maximum of 30 hours per week during Winter and Spring Break camps, with shorter hours during the day and the occasional evening shift.

Shifts Available:

  • Little Acorn Or Hamilton Park: Monday - Friday, Between 8:30am-1:30pm
  • Out-of-School Care: Monday - Friday, Between 2:45-5:30pm
  • Camps: Monday - Friday, Between 10am – 4pm
  • Youth Program: Occasional Friday, Between 6-9pm

Qualifications - required

  • Must be 19+ years of age as per Childcare Licensing requirements
  • Class 4 Unrestricted Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Clean criminal record check
  • Valid and subsisting first aid certification
  • Updated Immunizations
  • Experience working with children in a childcare/recreational setting
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 2 strong references

Qualifications – additionally preferred

  • A minimum of twenty hours child-related coursework

Rate of Pay: $24/hour + 4% in lieu of Holiday Pay
