Job Description

The UPS Store at Terwillegar Heights is looking for a friendly, energetic individual to fill a part-time/full time Customer Service/Print Shop Associate position. Applicants must be able to deliver outstanding customer service. This fast-paced environment requires quick thinking, the ability to multi-task and enthusiasm. A workday will include customer counter work, packaging/shipping functions, and printing functions. Applicant must be able to learn and perform all aspects of this Retail Customer Service position. Our store is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. This is an immediate part-time position to be filled ASAP. There is potential for a full time, key holding position as well! Preferable Qualifications:

  • 6 months to two years of retail and customer service experience using a point of sale system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high school diploma/GED
  • Experience and proficiency with computer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (included, but are not limited to):

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, pressure-driven environment, maintaining attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
  • Continuously practice good listening skills with customers, vendors, and The UPS Store team members.
  • Take action to learn product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
  • Operate office machines in the store including: computers, digital printers, copiers, scanner, phone, fax machine, laminator, binding machine, postal meter and point of sale terminal.
  • Meet print production and quality guidelines.
  • Receive and process packages for shipping utilizing our shipping software.
  • Advise customers on UPS packaging requirements, and shipping rules.
  • Pack customer’s items for shipping using approved procedures and materials.
  • Enter sales into point of sale terminal, process cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Receive, sort, and place mail in mail boxes daily. Assist with setting up new mail box holders.
  • Place, answer, and refer telephone calls in a friendly manner.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting are all required.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds is required.

Appearance:

Must be willing to wear professional business attire & name tag. Khaki pants/chinos with closed toed shoes are required.
