Job Description

Mercedes-Benz Kitchener-Waterloo is looking for an established and dynamic senior leader to join our team as a General Manager.

Overview: As the General Manager of Mercedes-Benz Kitchener-Waterloo, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, sales, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of professionals, ensuring that the dealership operates efficiently and profitably while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and luxury experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to all dealership staff, including sales, service, finance, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a positive and high-performance culture that encourages teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and hold individuals accountable for their performance.

2. Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets and maximize profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure they are trained, motivated, and equipped to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales goals.
  • Review and analyze sales performance data regularly to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed.

3. Customer Experience:

  • Maintain the dealership's reputation for delivering an unparalleled luxury experience to every customer.
  • Ensure that all customer interactions, from initial inquiry to post-sale support, meet or exceed the highest standards of professionalism and satisfaction.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and effectively, seeking to resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction while protecting the dealership's interests.

4. Operations and Compliance:

  • Oversee all aspects of dealership operations, including inventory management, facility maintenance, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, taking proactive measures to address any deviations from targets.

5. Financial Management:

  • Manage the dealership's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and profit optimization.
  • Work closely with the finance and accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred), or relevant experience with at least 5 years in a comparable role.
  • Proven experience in automotive sales and dealership management, or automotive operations, preferably in the luxury car segment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Sound business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry trends, products, and technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
