| About the role

Reporting to the Director, People Operations and Services, the Human Resources Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for general Human Resources inquiries, delivers timely customer service, administers employee transactions and is accountable for the onboarding and offboarding of Payments Canada’s employees. This role also supports the People Team with HR programs, Recruitment support, policies and initiatives.

This is a temporary position for a 12-month Term

| What you’ll do

Your responsibilities as the HR Coordinator will include:
Human Resources Operations:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for responding to all employee and manager HR inquiries, escalating matters to appropriate team members as required;
  • Provide recruitment assistance such as completing discovery calls, screening job postings, drafting and sending new hire letters and data entry;
  • Partnering with stakeholders to coordinate logistics to ensure a seamless employee experience;
  • Inputting and maintaining employee data in HRIS;
  • Assist with the administration of benefits and pension enrolment and changes.
Client Services:
  • Resolve routine issues, make recommendations, and liaise with other HR team members to resolve more complex issues;
  • Respond to employees’ general questions about HR policies, benefits and pensions in a timely manner.
People Portal Management and People Communications:
  • Partner with the communication team to develop, draft, and build HR related content on the People Portal to promote and drive awareness for all the HR initiatives and policies;
  • Ensure the people portal is updated with the most recent policies and procedures;
  • Assist with the company-wide communications and announcement on the People Portal involving wellness, Culture and Engagement and HR information updates.
| Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, Human Resources or related field;
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an HR or administrative role;
  • Experience in building relationships with both internal and external customers;
  • Experience with scheduling and conducting interviews;
  • Experience with preparing recruitment materials (job postings, Interview guides, offer letters, etc.);
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce);
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service;
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously;
  • Ability to work cross functionally with various departments and team members;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Knowledge of HR functions including but not limited to recruitment, benefits and onboarding;
  • Valid criminal and credit records check.
| Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP Designation or in the process of completion would be considered an asset.
| Salary Range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $65,026 and $81,283 CAD.
