Peninsula Co-op is inviting applications for the position of Liquor Store Associate (we like to call you a Customer Service Representative) at our Six Mile Liquor Store (recently acquired Liquor Express) located at 498 Island Highway, Victoria. We have part-time roles available, offering 24 - 31 hours per week to individuals who are open to a flexible schedule that would include evening and weekend work.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are a customer first liquor store looking for an individual to join our committed and engaged environment. We have an open, team, and customer-oriented culture that offers career growth and professional development. We are looking for an enthusiastic customer service professionals who:

• Always look for ways to be helpful and go out of their way to assist others; consistently polite.
• Good with numbers; handling cash and other basic numerical calculations quickly and accurately.
• Process till transactions, accurate and efficient; including cash, credit and debit transactions and gift card activations.
• Uses their product knowledge to assist customers and answer questions.
• Looks out for their safety and the safety of others.
• Values integrity and honesty; someone to admire and emulate.
• Able to be on their feet nearly all of their shift & consistently handling product (1 to 40 pounds).
• Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check (required)
• Serving it right certificate required in advance of starting.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Besides working with the best group of teammates and serving fantastic customers, you will be cleaning, and stocking the store, and generally ensuring our customers are taken care of and the location is clean and safe. We’ll also train and develop you for Shift Supervisor, Assistant Manager, and Site Manager opportunities if you are looking for advancement!
