Urgently seeking energetic, team players to join us in the processing and manufacturing of metal products. Working as part of our Saw Department, you will have the unique opportunity to learn how to;

• Receive material from steel mills and verify packing slips
• Mark/identify material
• Conduct measurements and mathematical calculations
• Complete material receiving reports
• Load Patriot Forge truck for shipment of materials between plants
• Move raw materials within the plant
• Conduct Product Material Identification test with Niton gun
• To be trained on saw cutting and set up of band saws
• Maintain general housekeeping standards in the material area (5S)
• Grind and condition stock as required
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointed by management
• 2-week rotating shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 2 years’ experience working in a similar position
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects
• Previous experience working with steel is an asset
• Blueprint interpretation
• Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, coordination and priority-setting skills
• Good command of the English language both written and verbal
• Ability to work with little supervision

Pay: $23.11-$24.50 per hour
