Job Summary
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the parts department operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves coordinating with various departments to meet the needs of customers, technicians and the organization while maintaining optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in parts management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control and order fulfillment.
- Actively works with other departments to develop positive and productive working relationships
- Develop and implement strategies to improve parts sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Train and supervise staff within the parts department, fostering a productive work environment.
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive or machinery parts is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Previous experience in a managerial role is an advantage but not required.
