Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care within a hospital setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering inquiries and addressing concerns related to medications.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
- Ensure the pharmacy is stocked with necessary supplies and medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards within the pharmacy environment.
- Stay informed about new medications, treatments, and pharmacy practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare staff.
- Experience or certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory. 1 year experience a must.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes in a hospital setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate medication dispensing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing high-quality patient care.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
