Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care within a hospital setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent patient care by answering inquiries and addressing concerns related to medications.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles.
• Ensure the pharmacy is stocked with necessary supplies and medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards within the pharmacy environment.
• Stay informed about new medications, treatments, and pharmacy practices.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare staff.
• Experience or certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not mandatory. 1 year experience a must.
• Familiarity with medication administration processes in a hospital setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate medication dispensing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing high-quality patient care.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $18.74-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
