JOB SUMMARY
The job purpose of a Journeyman Pipefitter is to use their specialized skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the success of construction, plumbing, and industrial projects. They play a critical role in ensuring that these systems operate effectively and reliably. A good pipe fitter should also be aware of all the safety precautions they need to take when using these tools and know how to maintain a safe working environment.
OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install metal tubing, pipes, pipe sections, valves, and fittings.
- Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
- Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Read and interpret client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Multi discipline scope which includes HDPF fusing along with tie in's and bolt up.
REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 year’s experience.
- Possession of a Journeyman Pipefitter Certification
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Must be fit-for-duty.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
- Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check (within 30 days of hire)

TRAVEL & SCHEDULE
- Willing to stay in camp accommodations.
