PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform delegated tasks from Team Lead and/or Manager of Dietary Services / Executive Chef

· Day to day food preparation of the restaurant according to Lane's Standards of Excellence

· Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Chef

· Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the best possible dining experience

· Consistently follows kitchen operations and ensures cleanliness

· Adheres to a prep list of station duties and standardized recipes assuring consistency of service

· Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness

· Is organized and efficient during breakfast, lunch and dinner service

· Assists in properly receiving and storing delivered items

· Cleans all food prep areas, equipment, utensils, and strictly adheres to sanitation, food safety, and HACCP guidelines

· Assists service team with dishwashing using a commercial dishwasher

· Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Qualifications

· 1-2 years of cooking experience

· Apprentices are welcomed

- Must have a basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills

· Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure

· Able to spend 100% of the time standing

·Passion for food & culinary excellence

Additional Information:

Permanent Part Time Work Hours

12:00 am - 6:30am (Overnights)

Sunday, Monday, Saturday (3 shift week)

Sunday & Friday (2 shift week)

Salary: $18.00

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

  • Night shift
  • Overtime

Experience:

  • cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
  • Police Check (preferred)

Work Location: In person
