Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate caregiver to support a client with acquired brain injuries and physical disabilities. This role is perfect for someone seeking a short, early morning shift (6:00am - 8:00am) that can fit alongside other work commitments.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the client with morning routines, including getting up, personal hygiene, and dressing.
  • Prepare and serve a light breakfast, following any dietary needs or preferences.
  • Support light household tasks like tidying up the client's space and ensuring a comfortable environment.
  • Monitor the client's physical well-being and report any immediate concerns.
  • Maintain open communication with the client's care team.

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires availability for early morning shifts (6:00am - 8:00am).
  • A routine-oriented environment inside the client's home.

Experience & Qualifications


  • Education: CPR certification is an asset, but not required.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in personal care or in-home care is preferred, particularly with clients with acquired brain injuries or physical disabilities.

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using tablet and/or smartphone technology.
  • Ability to provide personal care effectively and safely.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
  • Understanding of the needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries or physical disabilities.

Conditions of Employment

  • Must be open to work weekends on rotation.
  • Must hold a valid G2 or higher driver's license issued in Ontario and possess a reliable vehicle.
  • Possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
  • Criminal record check required upon hiring.
