RHEA is looking for a Service Delivery Manager, Security Solutions to add to RHEA’s growing Security Solutions team.

The Service Delivery Manager, Security Solutions (SDM/Security Solutions) works as a project manager, subject matter expert, and security advisor supporting security projects with RHEA’s clients. Ideally, the SDM/Security Solutions will be an expert in the areas of physical security assessment and analysis as well as knowledgeable in physical security systems/technologies and their implementation, maintenance, and management. The successful candidate will also have previous experience as a project manager.

About the Team

Working as part of RHEA Security Solutions, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of designers, technicians, and subject matter experts to deliver on physical security projects.

The SDM will also work closely with business development and proposal development teams, acting both as a subject matter expert and contributor/writer for client proposals.

Reporting to the Senior Director Service Delivery, this position operates in a hybrid environment with the main office located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Tasks and Activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Managing projects in physical, IT, and/or cyber security environments or in a hybrid security environment.
  • Client and stakeholder engagement and consultation.
  • Supporting the business development team as a subject matter expert, as well as informing on or contributing to proposal responses.
  • Supporting the development of Threat and Risk Assessments for infrastructure projects.
  • Developing security requirements and/or drafting designs addressing multiple domains, including (but not limited to) surveillance/monitoring, access control, and security planning,
  • Supporting the development of Security Design Briefs for both new development and for rehabilitation projects.
  • Gathering, documenting, and consolidating physical/cyber security business, technical, and functional requirements for new projects.
  • Supporting the development of Concepts of Operations for systems, technologies, and applications related to assigned projects and security program improvements.
  • Providing advice and guidance on concept designs, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and cost estimates.
  • Providing input on industry standards, best practices, and accepted approaches for the development and implementation of security mitigations.
  • Reviewing architectural, electrical, and structural designs and construction documents for requirements compliance and provide feedback to project teams.
  • Providing support in the preparation of procurement documentation, procurement plans, researching available technologies, providing detailed option analysis and tracking procurement activities.
  • Developing approaches for consultation with key stakeholders and facilitating these consultations.

Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • 5+ years’ experience in physical security working in a consultative, security practitioner, or physical security operations role.
  • Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in a relevant field.
  • Experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience developing security designs and/or requirements.
  • Experience developing business, technical, and functional security requirements.
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain Government of Canada security clearance at the levels of Secret.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience developing threat-risk assessments using the harmonized threat-risk assessment methodology is considered an asset.
  • Be willing to obtain or currently hold designation or certification as Physical Security Professional or Certified Protection Professional
  • Be willing to obtain or currently hold designation or certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute or equivalent (Prince 2, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a significant asset
  • Experience or certification in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design is a significant asset.
