Your role contributes to Starbucks Sunterra success by ensuring our service and store standards are met. We do this by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products. Starbucks and partners will experience a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere.

Required Availability: OPEN (Must be available for shifts start times of 7:15am and/or shift end times of 3:00 pm or later)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Creates quality beverages based on Starbucks guidelines
• Knowledge of menu items and seasonal items
• Discover customer needs and appropriately suggest products.
• Customer transactions and cash handling
• Merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing product
• Maintaining cleanliness in the café, and a sanitary work space

Qualifications:

• Able to meet the needs of the department (including weekends and holidays)
• Previous customer service experience required
• Previous Barista/Starbucks experience a strong asset
• Able to communicate effectively with others and convey enthusiasm
• Must be self-motivated and solution-oriented
• A passion for coffee
• WHIMS certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training)
• Food Safety certification requirement (Sunterra will provide online training.
