Job Description

Innovair Industrial is a proudly Canadian, Winnipeg-based independent distributor of compressed gases and medical supplies and equipment. We are a dynamic organization, recognized for our leadership, community involvement and commitment to provide our employees with a great work environment, opportunities for growth and competitive rewards.

Now Hiring a Warehouse Representative

  • Excellent Salary (Commensurate with Experience)
  • Full Benefits Package
  • Growth and Development Opportunities

As a seasoned warehouse professional with a passion for customer service, you thrive in creating order out of chaos! You enjoy a role that requires you to perform a wide-variety of duties (some might call you a ‘Jack/Jill of all Trades’), including receiving and taking orders, organizing a warehouse, and prepping shipments for delivery. You often push yourself to get the job done and enjoy doing that something extra to exceed customer expectations. You are recognized as a great communicator. You also like to take ownership of your role, and always look for opportunities to do things more efficiently. You’re no stranger to hard work (you enjoy it, actually!) and prefer to be moving rather than always sitting at a desk or in a chair. You’ll be working outdoors frequently, including in inclement weather, so the individual must be willing and able to work in various climate conditions. You appreciate being a part of an awesome team, and you pitch in to help them wherever it’s needed. The words ‘that’s not my job’ isn’t part of your vocabulary, but ‘customer first’ is.

As a Warehouse Representative, you will:

  • Be responsible for picking customer orders and processing for shipping (pick-up, mail or courier).
  • Work with the logistics team to ensure inventory bins are stocked and the warehouse is clean, maintained and organized.
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities are performed as required by our standard operating procedures and in accordance with safety requirements, but always seeking and proposing new methods with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Load/unload cylinder inventory while following all company processes, policies and safety standards. As you do so, you will seek opportunities to make dock/plant delivery activities easier and more efficient.
  • Be responsible for identifying, managing, and addressing gas cylinder and liquid tank inventory stock levels and supplies, as well as ensure the proper staging and maintenance of our dock cylinder inventory.
  • Oversee equipment safety, cleaning, preventative maintenance and minor repair on company owned and operated equipment within the Logistics and Warehouse areas as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Have your Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a warehouse/logistics area or another relevant role.
  • Have previous experience operating warehouse equipment; familiarity with the requirements of transporting dangerous goods (TDG) and WHMIS 2015 an asset.
  • A Class 3 driver’s license is considered an asset to provide backup support and relief to our driving team as needed.
  • Be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 75 lbs, as well as confident maneuvering equipment up to 1500 lbs (with proper lifting/pushing apparatus and techniques).
  • The position requires working outdoors frequently, including in inclement weather, so the individual must be willing and able to work in various climate conditions including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
  • Be comfortable with handheld scanning technology, and familiar with the Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Have a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s Licence with a clear driving abstract (required). You will also have a strong knowledge of city routes, as well as outside city limits.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Short-listed candidates may be asked to take a physical capabilities, psychometric and/or a relevant duties test.

At Innovair Group, we recognize the profound impact our people have in fostering a work environment that is inclusive, innovative and ensures a sense of belonging for all. As such, we are intentional and self-reflective about the team we are building by seeking talented individuals who bring both incredible skills and a desire to support the success of others.
