Duties

Join our team to drive efficient procurement and financial operations. You'll handle low to medium complexity contracts, provide expert advice, and support larger projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing documents, guiding clients, managing contracts, analyzing data, preparing budget reports, and processing invoices. You'll also negotiate with suppliers and resolve issues, ensuring smooth and effective management of our procurement and materiel activities. Make a difference with your expertise and support!

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill current and future vacancies in various locations with various employment tenures and language profiles within the Department of National Defence.   • Experience preparing formalized written bid solicitations
  • Experience evaluating bids or proposals
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Experience awarding contracts / authorizing procurement instruments
  • Experience supervising or managing personnel
  • Experience in Supply Customer Account management; including verifications and write off of materials.
  • Experience of trade work processes applicable to the types of work subcontracted in support of aircraft repair
  • Experience with procurement and contracting in an industrial aerospace environment
  • Experience in procuring goods or services in the Information Management (IM) or Information Technology (IT) fields
  • Experience working or volunteering in a mixed civilian and military environment

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

One or more of the following operational requirements may be required, depending on the position being staffed. Additional operational requirements could also be required, not listed below. The complete list of operational requirements will be communicated to candidates at the time of consideration for appointment for each position being staffed.

  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed, possibly on short notice
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Willing and able to work in extreme weather conditions and confined spaces
  • Willing and able to safely lift objects up to 20kg from floor to shoulder

  • Various security clearances - Reliability, Secret, or Top Secret
  • Possession of a valid provincial or territorial driver’s licence
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 licence
