Finance Manager

Industry: PPE manufacturer

Location: Vaughan, ON

Salary range: Base is $100-120K

Abbreviated Job Description:

This position is responsible for the financial function of the Canadian operations. It provides reports for the Group and interprets financial information for management while recommending further courses of action. It has 2 direct reports.

Accounting

- Prepare month-end closings and management accounts

Reporting

- Provide monthly financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff

- In relation with the MD, prepare the companies’ budget / reforecasts according to the headquarters’ policies

- Complete twice a year consolidation packages for the 3 legal entities

- Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed

- Coordinate other day-to-day financial operations performed by the other members of the team (bank reconciliation, A/R collection, payroll preparation, …)

Administration

- Ensure that all the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation

- Seek out methods and practices to minimize financial risk

- Manage relations with accountants and auditors

- Coordinate with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained

- Prepare income tax declarations

Treasury

- Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.

- Prepare and update cash-flow forecasts

- Manage relations with banks

- Prepare and communicate monthly bank covenants & reporting

Requirements:

Relevant education in Finance & Accounting. Designation not required.

Strong skills in Excel, and knowledge of Accounting software, especially for budgeting.

Knowledge of French would be an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
